About us

Discover our unique heritage

Blending Italian and Slovenian cultures in one distinctive voice.

Vikra

The VIKRA Chamber Choir is a cultural crossroads of Italy and Slovenia, bringing together experienced singers from both sides of the border. Our ensemble serves as a laboratory of sound, as we explore a vast repertoire: from the intricate polyphony of the Renaissance to the bold expressions of Romantic and contemporary music. Based at the Glasbena Matica in Trieste, our journey has taken us from the historic stages of Italy to prestigious international venues, including a symbolic performance in Sarajevo invited by the United Nations (UNFPA).

Our journey is defined by numerous Awards and international recognitions, starting from our historic victory as the first Italian ensemble to win the Grand Prix Seghizzi in 2022, to prestigious first prizes in Arezzo and Vittorio Veneto.
